I am a small-batch ceramics artist based in Sonoma County, California. My practice is rooted in an appreciation for functional ware and the softening of our daily rituals. From tea time to meal time, I enjoy bringing comfort to the home with handmade pottery.

Pit Firing

A single-day firing process where pieces are wrapped with various found objects such as seaweed, wire, and corn husks. They are then layered in a communal pit with salt, cow patties before being stacked upon with wood.

Wood Firing

A 4-5 multi-day firing process requiring a community to take shifts to keep the kiln light with wood, continually loading wood every 15-30 minutes to help sustain the right temperature.

Soda Firing

A short 2-day firing process using a gas kiln and a liquid soda spray mixture made from Soda Ash.
